How we work
Production & quality standards
At Golden Nuts, production is built on a planned, controlled and sustainable foundation. With more than 26 years of experience in walnut, almond and cashew processing, we have established clear, workable standards that meet the expectations of international buyers.
Raw material selection
We source from the world’s principal growing regions — the USA, China and Vietnam — selecting for stable quality, correct classification and consistency above all else. Raw material selection is the single decision that determines everything downstream: a lot bought on price alone shows up later as breakage, inconsistent colour or a shortened shelf life. We buy against a specification, not a spot price.
Cleaning and sorting
Incoming lots are cleaned and sorted before anything else happens to them, removing debris and off-grade material at the earliest possible stage. This is deliberately the first step, not a pass folded into cracking — catching a problem here is cheap; catching it after processing is not.
Cracking and shell separation
For the walnut group, machine cracking and traditional hand-cracking work side by side rather than one replacing the other. Machines give us throughput; hand-cracking gives us kernels that come out undamaged and in their best possible form, with the skin intact and no bruising — the difference our own FAQ singles out as what separates us from processors who crack for speed alone.
Sizing and calibration
Product is sized and calibrated for consistent grade, so a shipment landing in month six matches the sample a buyer approved in month one. We believe sustainable quality is the real basis for a long-term partnership: precise classification, minimised breakage, and a careful balance of colour and appearance, lot after lot.
Final quality control and export packing
A final quality-control pass verifies classification, colour and appearance before anything is packed. Product is then packed to export standard and moved through a planned supply chain, so partners get predictable, on-time delivery rather than a shipment that arrives "when it arrives."
Our goal is simple: deliver the right product, to the right standard, exactly on time.
